Stiles and Hooker are proud to have been the civil and structural designers for Trust Waikato’s new building on Little London Lane in Hamilton.

Facing South East across the Trust Waikato grounds the building overlooks areas of important cultural significance. Designed to take in the natural beauty of the area, the poles at the front of the building symbolise the bends in the Waikato River and the Taniwha at each bend.

Combining purpose-built meeting rooms and flexible spaces on the ground floor that are available for community groups to book for free and open plan offices for Trust Waikato staff on the top floor, the building provides for better community collaboration and flow.

Stiles and Hooker were responsible for the design and documentation of the structure including the piled ground floor slab, structural steel frames, suspended concrete first floor and an impressive flying roof supported on racking timber columns.
